COWETA, Okla. — The American Legion Post 226 is raising funds to build a new veteran memorial and honor the military men and women who have served.
The post has partnered up with the City of Coweta for this project to celebrate the legion's 100th anniversary.
The memorial will be built outside of City Hall made of brick pavers that families can get engraved.
Members of the legion will be dedicating the memorial on September 14 after the city's fall festival parade.
