COWETA, Okla. — Coweta police are searching for the people responsible for ramming into a patrol officer's vehicle overnight Monday.

According to the City of Coweta Facebook page, suspects captured on surveillance images were in a black 2006 or newer Ford Mustang. The vehicle, which had a broken brake light, was seen at the Coweta Walmart parking lot and then at Casey's.

When an officer attempted to make a traffic stop at Casey's around midnight on Monday, the vehicle took off and eventually ran through a yard near 289th East Avenue and 101st Street South. The vehicle crashed into a CPD patrol car involved in the chase.

The officer was not hurt, but the vehicle took significant damage.

The Mustang will have damage to its front end and driver side. Anyone with information is asked to call the Coweta Police Department non-emergency number at 918-486-2121.
