COWETA, Okla. — A boy with autism gets a big surprise on his 7th birthday.

Gabriel's mother, Crystal Shipley, set up a parade for his birthday Friday afternoon with help from the Coweta Police Department and the Coweta Fire Department.

Sirens and “happy birthday” cheers echoed from down the street as red and blue lights flickered and a caravan of emergency vehicles approached Gabriel standing in his driveway.

In that moment, Shipley described her son's face as if it lit up like a Christmas tree.

Tony Tinervia, the president of the Autism Birthday Card Club of the World, was even on site to deliver Gabriel his card in person.

What was Gabriel’s favorite part of his party?

“The cop cars and fire trucks,” Gabriel said.
