TULSA – The long-awaited Costco store opened its doors Thursday to mark the first branch to be in Tulsa.

The 148,000 square-foot store opened at the northwest corner of Memorial Drive and 103rd Street early in the morning.

"We are thrilled to be bringing Costco's low warehouse prices to the residents of Tulsa," said Warehouse Manager Greg Barnhart. "They have been asking us to open here for a long time, and we already have made an impact on the local job market. We look forward to contributing to the community in many ways."

The Tulsa Costco marks not only the first in Green Country but the first in Oklahoma.
