Officials with the City of Stillwater announced they have issued a "shelter in place" order that will begin today at 11:59 p.m. Officials say this order "requires residents to stay home and only leave for essential activities or business." On March 28, American Airlines officials were notified that one team member at their Tulsa Maintenance Base tested positive for coronavirus. In a letter from American Airlines, officials asked team members to notify their Pandemic Response Team should they been in close contact with the team member. The AA official went on to say "your safety and health are our first priority, and we are comitted to supporting everyone through this difficult time."

The number of positive coronavirus cases in Oklahoma has climbed to 481 with one new death in Cleveland County, says OSDH. Officials say the new death in Cleveland County is a man in the 50-64 age group. OSDH says there are now 65 confirmed cases in Tulsa County.

Officials with Wyandotte Nation says they have decided to keep their casinos closed through April. Below is the official press release from Wyandotte Nation:
The Wyandotte Nation will keep both the River Bend Casino & Hotel and the Lucky Turtle Casino closed through April, the Tribe announced today. “The health and safety of our citizens, employees, and our guests continues to be of utmost importance to us,” Chief Billy Friend said. "We are committed to following the recommendations released by federal health officials to ensure we are protecting the public." The Tribe’s Emergency Response Team will continue to meet on a weekly basis to re-evaluate the situation and determine plans going forward. The Tribe will post updates to their website based upon the best available information and through social media as they occur. "Unfortunately, we don't know when it will be safe for operations to resume, but with the support of federal and tribal health experts, we are working to determine our next best steps," Chief Friend said.

Mayor Bynum issues "Safer at Home" order for all Tulsans beginning Sat., March 28 at 11:59 p.m. through April 16 to slow the spread of COVID-19.
Earlier this week, the State of Oklahoma issued a Safer at Home Order statewide for those 65 years or older and individuals with underlying medical conditions. Mayor Bynum’s order includes all Tulsans regardless of age.

Adoptions will now be by appointment only, officials say. If anyone is interested in making an adoption appointment, they can call 918-596-8001. The parks that will be affect are: LaFortune Park, Haikey Creek Park, Chandler Park and O’Brien Park. Trails and green spaces are open at all county parks. Officials say this is a the direction of the Tulsa County Commissioners to better reinforce social distancing and reduce large public gatherings.

Officials with the Muskogee Police Department say that one of their officers has tested positive for the coronavirus. Officials say they received notice from the Muskogee Country Health Department on March 26. Officials say, "The officer became ill with flu like symptoms last weekend and immediately self-quarantined at home where they have remained since that time. The officer is doing better and seems to be on the recovery side of the illness." Muskogee Police Department says they already had plans in place for this exact scenario. The deparment found there were four other officers that came into contact with this officer and those four are now isolated at home for 14 days as a result. Officials say, "Based on the anticipated spread of COVID-19, new procedures were already in place. We want to assure our community and our employees that we have taken and are taking every precaution we can in accordance with the guidelines of the state health department and the CDC. We continually monitor new guidelines and are adjusting procedures as necessary. The affected officer will be back to work after they have been symptom free for 72 hours without any medication. The four quarantined officers, if they remain unaffected and symptom free, will return to duty following their 14 day isolation."

Earlier this week, Governor Kevin Stitt postponed all minor medical procedures and elective surgeries until April 7 through his Executive Order 2020. Today, Gov. Sitt clarified that any type of abortion service, that is not a medical emergency "as defined in 63 O.S. § 1-738.1 or otherwise necessary to prevent serious health risks to the unborn child’s mother are included in that Executive Order." Gov. Stitt also clarified this includes routine dental, ophthalmological and dermatological procedures, and "most scheduled healthcare procedures such as orthopedic surgeries." The demands for hospital beds and the shortage of personal protective equipment have been increased due to the COVID-19 virus. “We must ensure that our health care professionals, first responders and medical facilities have all of the resources they need to combat COVID-19,” said Gov. Stitt. “I am committed to doing whatever necessary to protect those who are on the front lines fighting against this virus.”

Love's announced yesterday that it's location in Nowata, Okla. is temporarily closed due to a team member testing positive for coronavirus. Officials say this is the first confirmed case of COVID-19 in the company. A member of Governor Kevin Stitt's cabinet tested positive for COVID-19, according to Baylee Lakey, the governor's communications director. Lakey told 2 Works for You Ostrowe has not had physical contact with Gov. Stitt in more than two weeks. So far, Stitt has not been tested for COVID-19. The Health Department is now investigating who may have recently come into contact with Ostrowe. Lakey said Ostrowe is recovering at home and is following CDC quarantine procedures.

The Oklahoma Corporation Commission announced today that schools, telemedicine facilities and libraries are eligible to increase bandwidth at no additional cost. Officials say schools, telemedicine facilties and libraries are eligible for the Oklahoma Universal Fund to "pay for broadband service and increase their speed at no additional cost to them under action taken this week by the OUSF administrator at the Oklahoma Corporation Commission." Officials say this is in response to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. The Tulsa Day Center for the Homeless announced, starting immediately, they will limit the number of clients in the building to "up to 150". Officials say this prioritizes the most vulnerable and those that stay overnight for shelter services. Officials say the steps are to protect staff, clients and the community. “We have to do what is best to protect the most vulnerable among our clients during this pandemic,” said Executive Director Mack Haltom. “The only way to accomplish that is to limit the number of people in our shelter so we can implement the recommended social distancing.”
Officials say, "daytime access will be limited to those clients who stay in the night shelter and those who have appointments with the Day Center Clinic for health services. The Day Center will continue to feed breakfast and dinner to those clients, while also informing clients of meals available at other shelters and feeding sites. "

Oklahoma State Senator Paul Rosino is recovering and doing well after testing positive for COVID-19. The senator was tested for the virus on March 16 and received his results Tuesday, March 24.
In a Facebook post Rosino said, "On Sunday March 15 I started not to feel well and that continued into Monday, I immediately on Sunday began to follow the CDC, Health Department, and other Public Health officials guidelines to self quarantine. I called the Health Dept Monday, they suggested I call my personal physician. I called Senate leadership on Monday the 16th and informed them I wasn’t feeling well and would not be at the Capitol." Rosino was not present at the Senate last week, nor was he among the senators or Senate personnel who underwent testing on Tuesday, March 17, after a Senate staffer tested positive for COVID-19. Rosino say he will continue to work from home. “I want to thank everyone who has reached out to inquire about me. I am doing well and feel much better. I’m glad I followed the health professionals’ advice to the tee. That’s what we all need to do now: stay home if we feel sick, isolate and seek care from a doctor. Doing that, we can all be well, let the health care heroes focus on the critically ill, and do our part to stop the spread of COVID-19,” said Rosino, R-Oklahoma City.
In a Facebook post Rosino said, "On Sunday March 15 I started not to feel well and that continued into Monday, I immediately on Sunday began to follow the CDC, Health Department, and other Public Health officials guidelines to self quarantine. I called the Health Dept Monday, they suggested I call my personal physician. I called Senate leadership on Monday the 16th and informed them I wasn’t feeling well and would not be at the Capitol." Gov. Stitt issues a safer-at-home order until April 30. Effective at midnight tonight, a restriction of any gatherings of 10 or more will take place across the whole state. All nonessential businesses must close at 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday and remain close for 21 days, Gov. Stitt says. He encouraged restaurants to stay open for delivery and/or curbside pick-up.

Attorney General Mike Hunter has issued a consumer alert today after receiving reports of people attempting to sell at-home tests for COVID-19. Attorney General Hunter says that Oklahomans need to be on "high alert" for people attempting to sell or administer coronavirus home-testing kis. “There are currently no credible test kits on the market for the Coronavirus that someone can administer in their home,” Attorney General Hunter said. “Additionally, no health care provider, or other individual credentialed to administer tests for the virus, will call and offer to test people at random. Oklahomans need to be on notice that this fraud is happening in our state, and it will likely become even more prevalent in the coming days. Never purchase these tests, and report the individuals trying to sell them to my office or a local law enforcement authority.”

The Oklahoma State Department of Health announced the third coronavirus death in the state today. A woman in her 60s from Cleveland County has died from COVID-19, officials say. There are currently 106 positive coronavirus cases in Oklahoma, with 753 negative test results and 25 hospitalizations. OSDH officials say that Governor Kevin Stitt will hold a press conference later today regarding the "state's actions to combat COVID-19." The details of when the press conference will take place have not been released.

Officials with the Tulsa Health Department announced the Collinsville Health Center and Sand Springs Health Center will be temporarily closed starting March 26. Existing appointments will be transferred to the James O. Goodwin Health Center, North Regional Health and Wellness Center and Central Regional Health Center, officials say. The employess working at Collinsville Health Center and Sand Springs Health Center will be redeployed to other clinic locations, officials say. Also, THD officials say the adult health screenings will be suspended, including Take Charge.
