BROKEN ARROW — City of Broken Arrow crews will begin construction on Broken Arrow's Main Street Bike-way, the first bike-way for the city, on Monday.
City officials said the project will consist of re-striping vehicle lanes, adding signage and on-street parking just south of Houston Street.
The bike-way will start on the south side of Main Street at Washington Street to Houston Street before connecting with Kenosha Street, officials said.
Officials said the $504,000 project is part of the Indian Nations Council of Government's GO Plan and is being funded through a $378,000 federal Transportation Alternatives Grant.
Weather permitting, the project is expected to be completed by the end of May, officials said.
