COLLINSVILLE, Okla. — The City of Collinsville is getting ready to roll out a new program looking to cut back on calls accidentally made to 911.

The program called "911 Aware" is set to launch in early January.

All you have to do is donate an old disconnected cellphone to the Collinsville Police Department and they will replace it with an educational toy phone.

This will help to reduce the 911 calls made by children who've been given a disconnected cell phone to play with.

The donated phones will then be given to a domestic violence shelter to help abuse victims.
