CLAREMORE, Okla. -- A student in Claremore has been arrested after allegedly bringing a weapon to school.
According to Claremore Superintendent Michael McClaren, the student brought the semi-automatic pistol onto the high school campus.
A school resource officer and an administrator detained the male student for questioning.
The student was turned over to Claremore Police and will be sent to a juvenile lockdown facility. Parents and staff were notified about the incident.
