The Claremore Area Chamber of Commerce announced that the Christmas Parade has been postponed because of the weather.
"Due to the continued forecast of rain and after speaking with our local meteorologists, our parade committee has decided that it is best to postpone the Claremore Christmas Parade," officials said on the chamber's Facebook page. "We want to make this parade the best it can be for all who are participating and watching, so we deemed the rain risk too high."
The parade will be held Thursday, December 17, at 6:30 PM.
