CLAREMORE, Okla. -- Claremore police investigated a social media threat made Wednesday involving a former student.
Police said officers identified the person of interest with help from school administrators. The person interviewed, who police said was not a current student, was interviewed but not arrested because police said he did not commit a crime.
Claremore police said that although there was speculation that the social media posts were targeting local schools, there was no specific threat made toward any Claremore schools or businesses.
Police said they will continue to monitor the situation.
