A special celebration was held today for a Caremore landmark.

The J.M. Davis Arms and Historical Museum celebrated it's 50th anniversary.

A rededication service was held today, and a representative from the Oklahoma Historical Society spoke during the observance.

The executive director says the attraction on Route 66 has a worldwide interest among tourists.

Wayne McCombs, Exec. Director, J.M Davis Arms & Historical Museum, tells us "we had the president of The Highway 66 Association from the Czech Republic, we had some travelers from Germany that were traveling the road, so we do get quite a bit of international travel that comes here."

Besides guns, the museum features other artifacts, such as swords and knives.

In addition, it collects spurs, saddles, and other Western memorabilia.
