City of Tulsa announces Labor Day closures

City Hall and other City of Tulsa facilities are closed Monday for Labor Day.

Residents who need assistance with a water or sewer problem can call the City's 24-hour emergency number -- (918) 596-9488.

Trash and recycling services are also suspended for the Labor Day holiday.  The altered pickup schedule is as follows:

  • Monday customers will receive collection services Tuesday, Sept. 4
  • Tuesday customers will receive collection services Wednesday, Sept. 5
  • Wednesday customers will receive collection services Thursday, Sept. 6
  • Thursday customers will receive collection services Friday, Sept. 7
  • Friday customers will receive collection services Saturday, Sept. 8

The City's greenwaste site is closed Monday and will reopen Tuesday at 8 a.m.

Tulsa Parks recreation centers will be closed but the parks' outdoor facilities will remain accessible.

The City of Tulsa Animal Welfare Shelter is closed.

Mohawk and Page Belcher golf courses as well as the Tulsa Zoo are open Monday. Gilcrease Museum is closed Monday in accord with its usual schedule.

The Tulsa Performing Arts Center is also closed.

Tulsa Transit bus service will not operate on Labor Day.
