TULSA — One contractor has died, another is injured, after a tree fell on them during a removal job, according to officials with the City of Tulsa.

Officials say Tulsa Fire Department, EMSA and Tulsa police responded to the area of Easton and North Boston Avenue on Mon. Feb. 3 around 4 p.m.

Two subcontractors for the Tulsa Development Authority (TDA) were removing trees, when a large tree fell on them, officials say.

Officials say one contractor died, while the other contractor sustained minor injuries.

“On behalf of TDA, it’s Board and Staff, we are saddened by this tragic accident and we extend our deepest sympathy to all that have been impacted by it,” says Nancy Roberts, TDA Chair.
