TULSA — Tulsa city leaders made an announcement regarding planned redevelopment in north Tulsa on Friday.

Mayor G.T. Bynum and Tulsa city councilors were joined by Muncie Power Products for announcement at 10 a.m.

The company, located at 7217 East Pine Street, said it will expand to the Peoria-Mohawk business park on the north side. It will mark the first business to locate in the park.

Located at 36th Street North and Peoria, the Peoria-Mohawk business park is comprised of more than 120 acres of land that represents the cornerstone of redevelopment on the north side.

“This announcement marks an important milestone in realizing what voters approved in Vision Tulsa for the economic development of North Tulsa at the Peoria-Mohawk Business Park,” Mayor G.T. Bynum said. “Muncie will be the first of many businesses to bring new and accessible jobs to North Tulsa - fostering more economic opportunity and wealth creation for the community.”

Public investment dollars approved through Vision Tulsa will be used to prepare and enhance the business park. The George Kaiser Family Foundation is donating the land for this effort.
