TULSA — The City of Tulsa announced the schedule and several closings in observance for the Independence Day holiday.
City Hall and other City facilities will be closed on Friday, July 3.
Usually the City of Tulsa's furlough afternoon takes place on Friday. However, due to the holiday weekend, the furlough will be on Thursday, July 2, according to the City of Tulsa.
Trash Pickup, Water and Sewer
During this time, public safety and mission critical operations will operate as usual.
Recycling, refuse and yard waste will be collected on July 3, as normal. Also, customers that receive pick up twice a week, on Wednesday and Saturday, will be serviced on Saturday, July 4.
City officials said if anyone needs assistance with water or sewer problems can call the 24-hour emergency number:

City of Tulsa Mulch Site
The mulch site located at 2100 North 145th East Avenue will be open on Friday, July 3. It will close on July 4, and reopen on Sunday, July 5, resuming its seven days a week schedule from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
City of Tulsa Animal Welfare Shelter
The shelter located at 3031 North Erie Avenue will be open on Friday from noon to 6 p.m. It will be closed on July 4, and reopen to resume its normal business hours on Sunday, July 5.
Tulsa Parks
The Tulsa Parks recreation centers will be closed starting at noon on Friday, due to the furloughs, until Sunday, July 5. The recreation centers will reopen on Monday, July 6. Both the Oxley Nature Center visitor center and Red Bud Valley Nature Preserve will be closed from July 3 through July 5. However, the trails at Oxley Nature Center will be open.
Golf Courses and Tulsa Zoo
Both Page Belcher Golf Course and Mohawk Park Golf Course will be open on July 3 and 4.
Tulsa Zoo will also be open on July 3 and 4.
Tulsa Transit
Tulsa Transit will not have any service on July 4.
