The Oklahoma Highway Patrol called a surgeon to the scene of a rollover wreck on the Cimarron Turnpike. The driver was successfully extracted from the semi’s cab and taken to a nearby hospital with serious injuries.

Around 7 a.m., the driver was going through a construction zone when it went onto a closed lane and bounced on a guard rail and rolled.

Eastbound lanes of the Cimarron Turnpike were closed at State Highway 48 but have since been reopened.
