Police say a 9-year-old is recovering after being shot in the leg late last night.
The shooting took place just after 11 p.m. at the Mingo Manor Apartment complex located at 4950 S. Mingo Road.
The child was inside an apartment when an unknown suspect fired a round through the door. A bullet hit the child in the leg.
The 9-year-old was taken to the hospital with a non-life threatening injury.
