Cherokee Nation to receive money for transportation

The Cherokee Nation in Oklahoma is getting more than $100,000 from the U.S. Department of Transportation.

The tribal transit program gives money to Indian tribes to support capital projects for public transportation on and around tribal lands.

The Cherokee Nation will use the more than $170,000 to replace vehicles.
