TULSA — Today, the Cherokee Nation will be holding its annual Public School Appreciation Day.
Officials say the Cherokee Nation gives 38 percent of funding from vehicle tag sales each year to northeast Oklahoma school districts.
More than 100 school district superintendents will be awarded checks to use, totaling more than $6 million, officials say.
