TULSA — According to the Tulsa City-County Library, the first floor of the Central Library near 5th Street and Denver Avenue will likely reopen this week.
Tulsa's Central Library has been closed since Feb. 19 due to a fire.
According to Tulsa Fire Department, the fire started on the second-floor restroom.
Officials say the building’s alarm and restroom sprinkler system were activated, and all customers and staff were evacuated safely.

Officials say other areas in the Central Library will remain closed until further notice.
The Starbucks inside Central Library reopened today, and the hours are 7:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
Starbucks will be open modified hours of 7:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. each weekday until the first floor of Central is reopened early this week.
The following areas on the first floor are open:
- Children’s department
- Computers and laptops
- Business Center
- Maker Space
- Audio Lab
- Hold materials
- Media and books
- Magazines and newspapers
- Starbucks
