CATOOSA, Okla. -- A home invasion led to a drug bust, and now three suspects are on the run with guns in a stolen car.

It all started when two people drove up Lynn Lane Road to visit friends Wednesday afternoon. As they walked up to the house the man and woman saw a broken window, and were soon chased by three men holding them at gunpoint.

"Once they came outside they took both victims inside. They tied them up. Once they tied them up they were in there for a couple of hours. They ransacked the residence," Officer Brent Colbert said.

The suspects stole a car from out front, drove off, and are still on the run. Officers arrived after the victims freed themselves to call 9-1-1.

"I think it's an elevated concern because if they've done it at one residence and they've got weapons then they'll do it at another residence. We don't know what they're looking for, or if there are other houses they're looking for. They could do it to anybody at any time," Colbert said.

But an arrest was still made on Wednesday. At the home police found several marijuana plants and when the homeowner came back, officers took him and his son into custody. Now they're patrolling the area with the hopes of giving Catoosa homeowners peace of mind.

"We want to make sure that everybody keeps vigilant, keeps a watch on their neighborhood, if they see someone in their neighborhood that they don't recognize or a car that isn't from their immediate area please call us," Colbert said.

Police said home invasions like this are uncommon in this area. However, officers did respond to the same house for a break-in about four months ago. The suspects in that case were never arrested either.
