CATOOSA — According to Catoosa police, an 18-month-old child was left with Hard Rock Casino security by its mother on Sunday night.

Officers say the mother was attempting to leave without the child, police say the woman said she wasn't in a condition to take care of the child, leaving the child with casino security.

During the investigation, police say the mother admitted to using methamphetamine at the hotel, in front of the 18-month-old child, prior to leaving it.

The mother, 35-year-old Nicole Faye Peridore, was arrested on complaints of child neglect, enabling child neglect, public intoxication and escape after felony arrest, police say.

Police say Peridore attempted to escape from the patrol car twice, using her foot to kick the door open.

Catoosa police say the child was turned over to the Oklahoma Department of Human Services.
