On April 30, NBC will air a 30-minute "Parks and Recreation" special at 7 p.m. and it’s all for a good cause!

The storyline centers around the world of social distancing, quarantine, and many of the challenges many are facing around the world due to the COVID-19 impact.

Some of the actors reprising their beloved roles include, Amy Poehler, Rashida Jones, Aziz Ansari, Nick Offerman, Aubrey Plaza, Chris Pratt, Adam Scott, Rob Lowe, Jim O’Heir, and Retta.

Executive producer and co-creator Mike Schur of "Parks and Recreation" expressed that he was thinking of ways he could help, and thought he could bring the cast back for one night to help raise funds for those who have been most affected by the pandemic.

“I sent a hopeful email to the cast and they all got back to me within 45 minutes. Our old Parks and Rec team has put together one more 30-minute slice of (quarantined) Pawnee life and we hope everyone enjoys it. And donates!,” Schur said.

The cast is raising funds for Feeding America’s COVID-19 Response Fund. The non-profit supports food banks in communities in every state. State Farm, Subaru of America, NBCUniversal, the Parks and Rec cast, writers and producers will match $500,000 in donations.
