As senior citizens brace themselves for possible budget cuts, certain administrative workers haven’t felt the brunt of the upcoming losses.

Currently the Oklahoma Health Care Authority says 25 percent of the Medicaid reimbursement rate will be cut. That could potentially mean around 90 percent of Oklahoma’s nursing homes would be at risk of closing.

“It's scaring the heck out of me, because I don't know from one day to the next if they are going to be telling me, ‘Hey you're out on the streets!" or what,” said one senior citizen

When OHCA announced the Medicaid cuts, it added that 26 million had been cut from administrative funds and indicated that the CEO would be taking a voluntary pay cut in the last year.
