TULSA - A short chase ends in Tulsa after a suspect t-boned an innocent driver.

The woman remains in the hospital and so does the suspect, who will be booked into the jail once he's released.

It began a little after midnight when an officer noticed a late model Nissan Maxima driving erratically through a neighborhood near Pine and N. Lewis.

The officer initiated a traffic stop, but when he tried to approach the vehicle, it sped away.

A police helicopter was close by and picked up the pursuit which lasted less than a minute after the suspect's vehicle hit a woman's car at the intersection of Atlanta and Virgin street.

"When you look at this collision it looks dramatic," said Sgt. Darin Ehrenrich with the Tulsa Police Department. "One of the vehicles is completely flipped over with one side of the vehicle concaved in, but luckily it's on the passenger side and that driver did sustain some injuries but she's going to be okay."

While searching the suspect's vehicle, officers found evidence he may have been dealing drugs.

Officers attempted to administer first aid on the victim and suspect before Tulsa Fire and EMSA arrived.

We know the suspect likely has a broken leg, and both are expected to be okay.
