Posted
CLAREMORE - A man is in police custody after an armed robbery in Claremore Wednesday night.

Mason Morales is now being charged with possession of a firearm, and committing robbery with a dangerous weapon.

Around 10 p.m. Wednesday night a man was sitting outside Dori G Photography Studios, waiting for some people in the parking lot.

Police say Morales approached the man sitting in his car, and held a gun to his head. He stole the victim's car, cell phone and shoes before driving away in the stolen vehicle.

A Claremore police officer spotted the vehicle in the area being followed by a second car.

The officer stopped the second vehicle which the suspect's mother was driving. Shortly after, police began their investigation.

Police say they blocked off a neighborhood where the suspect was hiding inside his parents' home.

Police say they called Morales out and arrested him without incident.

Inside the victim's car, police say they found a gun as well as the victim's personal items.

No one was injured. Morales was transported to the Rogers County Jail.
