TULSA -- A crash involving just one car led to the arrest of a man wanted for allegedly shooting and killing a 17-year-old boy in June.
Tulsa police arrested Marcus Boyd, 27, after they said he crashed his vehicle Monday at U.S. 169 and E. 11th Street. Officers said they identified Boyd when they responded to the crash and arrested him for first degree murder.
Homicide detectives said they believe Boyd shot and killed 17-year-old Daniel Carter while he rode in a car in north Tulsa on June 28. The shooting also critically injured a 16-year-old girl, police said.
In addition to the murder charge, Boyd is facing two counts of shooting with intent to kill as well as illegal possession of a firearm. He is currently being held without bond at the David L. Moss Criminal Justice Center.
Homicide detectives said they believe there are other witnesses to the shooting, so they're asking them to please come forward and contact police.
