CADDO COUNTY, Okla. - Officials are investigating after an inmate died at the Caddo County jail, Monday.
The Caddo County Sheriff's Office requested that OSBI agents investigate the death.
Darius Robinson was arrested in Oklahoma County Friday on four child support warrants. He was then transferred to Caddo County where the warrants were issued.
Officials say Robinson tried to escape his cell Monday night. When jailers attempted to restrain him, he stopped breathing. Jail staff performed CPR and resuscitated Robinson, but he later died at a nearby hospital.
The medical examiner will determine the cause of his death.
