TULSA--A south Tulsa business evacuates after a construction worker hits a gas line.

It happened about 8am on Thursday near 71st and Yale.

Officials say that a worker hit a six-inch gas natural gas line.

Employees of a medical clinic will be displaced until it's say to go back in, officials say.

“When we came in and we opened our office we heard a hissing noise and that’s when we noticed a smell of gas coming in and I immediately notified and fire department showed up,” said Iftikhar Hussain, medical doctor.

Firefighters evacuated that clinic and called Oklahoma Natural Gas.

Officials on scene say that 73rd Street is closed at Yale near some businesses.
