Buses stolen from Okmulgee Co. school recovered, appear to be burned, say authorities

OKMULGEE COUNTY, Okla. – The two buses that were stolen recently have been recovered but police say they were not in the best condition.

An Okmulgee County investigator confirmed that both of the buses that were taken from Twin Hills this week have been found. Unfortunately it appears as though they were set on fire.

The buses were taken after three suspects jumped the fence of the school and drove them off the property.

Authorities are offering a $500 reward for anyone with information that could lead to the arrest of those responsible for vandalizing the school vehicles.

A Twin Hills school spokesperson confirmed that while the lack of buses won’t affect the student bus routes, they are quite expensive to replace.
