TULSA -- A brief pursuit near the Briar Village Apartments in East Tulsa ends with five suspects in custody who were in a stolen vehicle from a previous burglary.
According to Tulsa Police, on Saturday around 4 p.m. an officer spotted a Prius police have been looking for, which was involved in a first degree burglary earlier this week.
Officers say the burglars used a garage door opener to get inside the garage and home on 71st and Mingo. They stole the Prius, plus a 9mm pistol and other items.
After a short chase with the vehicle, police say five male juveniles, ranging between 14 and 17-years-old, stopped the car on S 93rd East Ave, and ran into the Briar Village apartment complex.
Police then created a perimeter to search for the suspects, and used K-9 officers as well.
Police found the suspects inside an apartment room at the complex around 5:30 p.m. and apprehended the suspects.
Officers say all of the items as well as the vehicle that was stolen were all recovered at the scene in East Tulsa.
