Burglary suspect arrested after breaking into a Tulsa home

TULSA, Okla. — Tulsa Police have a suspect in custody who they say broke into a home and threatened a child.

It happened in the 13000 block of East 42nd street just after 7:30 p.m. Friday night.

The homeowner told officers that the suspect entered the home through the unlocked front door and threatened a child.

The family waited outside the home for police to arrive.

According to police a K9 officer found the suspect inside the home and after resisting arrest Peter Martin was taken into custody.

Police said he appeared to be under the influence of an unknown substance.

Martin was taken to OSU Medical for treatment.

He was then arrested and booked for First Degree Burglary.
