A surprise comes after a funeral for an Air Force veteran with no known family.

A few hours after Edward Veilleux was laid to rest at Fort Sill National Cemetery, his brother was found.

Edward's brother, David Veilleux, says he hadn't heard from him in the last 20 years.

"It just kind of slammed me all of the sudden," David said. "I was just like, wow. I didn't know what to think."

Not having found Veilleux's family, a funeral home decided to hold a service in his honor, inviting anybody to attend.

"We are willing to do whatever it takes to see to it that a military member is taken care of," said Carson Van Zant, owner of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home and Crematory.

David says he's grateful for those who attended Edward's funeral, and says he plans to make a trip down from Michigan to visit his brother's grave.
