TULSA -- The 15-year-old brother of a 17-year-old boy shot and killed Friday has been arrested in connection with the shooting.
On Friday night at 8:25 p.m., Tulsa police responded to the shooting in the 2600 block of East Oklahoma Street.
The 17-year-old, identified as Juan Solis, was found dead in a residence after being shot with a handgun.
The 15-year-old brother told police that Solis had shot himself.
After police reviewed evidence and found discrepancies, they say the 15-year-old admitted to accidentally shooting his brother. Police say they believe the brother had been shooting the gun in a reckless manner prior to the incident. He said he thought the gun was unloaded when he shot his brother.
The 15-year-old was arrested on a count of first-degree manslaughter.
