BROKEN ARROW, Okla. -- A Broken Arrow Public Schools employee was arrested Saturday after police say he exposed himself outside a theater.

Police were called to the Cinemark Theater in Broken Arrow after receiving a report of a man passed out in his vehicle with the door open and his pants down.

When police arrived, they found John Paynter, 63, with his pants down and genitals exposed.

Police also say they spotted pills and an opened bottle of fireball whiskey on the seat beside Paynter and on the dashboard of the vehicle.

After searching Paynter's vehicle, police found more than 8,000 pills. Police say they also found lubricant and pornographic magazines.

Paynter says he orders the pills online and admitted to using them to self-medicate. According to a police report, Paynter said he took off his pants because they were uncomfortable.

Paynter was arrested on complaints of trafficking a controlled and dangerous substance and indecent exposure.

According to Broken Arrow Public Schools, Paynter doesn't work directly with students, but was suspended while the investigation is ongoing.
