BROKEN ARROW, Okla. -- A teacher in Broken Arrow was arrested for driving under the influence and assaulting an officer Sunday night.

Police say the incident happened when the suspect, Joshua Wann, 29, ran a stop light and crashed into a car.

Officers performed a sobriety test and say Wann couldn’t keep his balance and had slured speech.

After being arrested, police say Wann lunged at an officer with his hands still in cuffs.

Wann is currently being held on $6,000 bond.
