BROKEN ARROW, Okla - Broken Arrow Public Schools board has voted to cut more than $7 million dollars from its budget.
According to the Broken Arrow Public School's communications director, the $7,390,000 budget cut was approved during a meeting Monday evening.

The board has also voted to 66 positions including administrative and custodial. 20 of the positions cut will be teaching positions.
A BAPS spokesperson stressed Monday that the staff reductions are being made through attrition, so there won't be any layoffs.
Another area being affected will be school transportation. A district spokesperson says the district is getting rid of bus routes for students who live 1.5 miles away from school. The cut excludes special education students.
