BROKEN ARROW, Okla. - The Broken Arrow Chamber will host a press conference Friday morning to discuss the success of the Rose District and to present future plans.
The Rose District was the idea of community leaders who had a vision for Broken Arrow. They wanted to bring arts and entertainment together with quality and unique shops and restaurants.
The process began in 2011 and has seen continuous growth and success every year.
"We are thrilled with the major success of the district, our plan is working exactly as designed," stated Wes Smithwick, president and CEO of the Broken Arrow Chamber and EDC. "The Rose District is an outstanding representation of private and public entities working together to push the community forward."
Broken Arrow City Manager Michael Spurgeon alluded to 2016 being a year to look forward to.
"It is looking to be another year of growth and success for the award winning district," said Spurgeon.
The presser is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. at the Broken Arrow Chamber.
