BROKEN ARROW, Okla. -- Team members with the Shining Honor Project spent Thursday morning cleaning and restoring the Women's War Memorial Wall at Veteran's Park.

The Honor Team partnered with Eurocraft to scrub down the 11-foot by 33-foot granite wall, as well as the statue of Broken Arrow High School graduate and Vietnam hero, Major William H. Miesner.

The wall has pictures of women who served our country either overseas or at home during the Revolutionary, Civil, Spanish American Wars, WWI, WWII, Vietnam, Korea, Desert Storm, and Operation Iraqi Freedom.

The Shining Honor Project provides jobs for adults with developmental challenges while honoring our nation's service men and women.

The organization began about a year ago in April 2017, and the team has already cleaned more than 4,500 gravestones in Green Country.
