Broken Arrow Police Department Making Changes to Protect Officers Amid COVID-19

and last updated

The Broken Arrow Police Department is making some operational changes to help keep officers safe during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Officers will only respond to scenes as needed, according to BAPD officials.

The changes also include that statements will be in the form of e-mail instead of paper.

Officials say officers will not respond to property damage collisions unless there is a traffic hazard, and officers may be in a "Class B" uniform instead of the traditional police uniform.
