Broken Arrow police have an armed robbery suspect in custody as they continue their search for his accomplice.

According to BAPD, the incident started last night while officers were on routine patrol near West Kenosha Street and South 145th East Avenue.

Police say a witness flagged down officers and explained that a robbery had occurred at the local Game Stop.

Two men entered the store, pulled out pistols and demanded cash from the cash registers, police say.

Then, a witness in the same shopping center tried to stop the pair. In confronting them, police say a single shot was fired. It hit a window at another business in the strip center.

Broken Arrow police say the suspects then fled to a nearby neighborhood. Police created a perimeter in the area around West Joliet Court and dispatched their K-9 officer to find the suspects.

A resident told police he or she believed a suspect to be hiding in his or her garage.

Broken Arrow police located Mikel Ball, 19,  who they say matched the description of the Game Stop robbery suspect. They also found money and a handgun.

While being escorted to the patrol car, Ball said "Studio time just costs too much money." His accomplice is still at-large.
