BROKEN ARROW, Okla. - One man has been arrested after police say he allegedly hit his 16-year-old daughter.
Police say they received a call from a 16-year-old who claimed she went to a youth shelter in Tulsa because she was afraid of her father.
The 16-year-old told police that she and her father, Kenneth Lynch, had been arguing about her grades. The shelter later called Lynch to take custody of the 16-year-old.
After taking her home, Lynch allegedly hit the girl in the face. The 16-year-old called police once Lynch fell asleep to report the incident.
Lynch was arrested on several charges including child abuse and possession of drug paraphernalia.
