BROKEN ARROW, Okla. — The Broken Arrow homecoming parade has been canceled this week due to inclement weather, according to Broken Arrow Public Schools.

The homecoming parade was originally scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 24.

“We are disappointed to have to cancel this year’s parade, but all of our discussions with trained meteorologists point to cold and wet conditions which could be unsafe for students riding on floats,” said associate superintendent of student services, Chuck Perry. “With the level of certainty in the forecast, we wanted to make this decision in advance before our students and community members worked to build and decorate their floats.”

Broken Arrow’s homecoming football game remains scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday against Yukon at Memorial Stadium.
