BROKEN ARROW — Broken Arrow Police said they have arrested an 18-year-old high school student for making a school threat.
Police said Hipolito Hernandez was arrested after he was identified as the one who reportedly wrote a message on a bathroom mirror threatening there would be a shooting at the school on Friday.
Hernandez was arrested on complaints of threatening of a violent act, police said.
"The threat was made one day prior to the anniversary date of the Sandy Hook school shooting," Broken Arrow Police Major Scott Bennett said. "We will do everything in our power to prevent chances of a similar event happening here in Broken Arrow. This includes strictly enforcing existing threats laws.”
