BROKEN ARROW, OKLA. — The Opportunity Scholarship Fund (OSF) presented scholarship checks totaling at $142,035 to Immanuel Lutheran Academy and Summit Christian Academy, both private schools which are located in Broken Arrow.
The schools selected scholarship recipients and distributed funds based on financial need.
Immanuel Lutheran Christian Academy selected 27 students, and Summit Christian Academy selected 33 students to receive scholarships this fall.
According to the Opportunity Scholarship Fund, more lower-income families in Broken Arrow will be able to afford to send their children to an certified private school that meets their child’s learning needs thanks to donations through the Opportunity Scholarship Fund.
“Through the generosity of our donors, we were able to make a difference in Broken Arrow today,” said OSF Executive Director, Rob Sellers. “Helping to change the trajectory of these students’ lives for the better is at the heart of what we do.”
OSF is a scholarship-granting organization administering tax credit scholarships for 65 member schools across Oklahoma.
Oklahoma State Senator Nathan Dahm attended to celebrate the scholarship reception.
Scholarships are funded through private donations from individuals and businesses. Donors to OSF receive tax benefits, including state income tax credits and charitable contribution deductions.
