CREEK COUNTY, Okla. — A Bristow firefighter and volunteer coach was accused of two counts of child sexual abuse and one count of rape prior to his death, which happened after a short police pursuit on Sunday.

Daniel Sullivan was a volunteer coach with Bristow schools.

Authorities with the Creek County Sheriff's Office said two teens, 14 and 15 years old, made accusations against Sullivan. Officials said enough evidence was obtained to make a probable cause arrest for two counts of child sexual abuse and one count of rape.

Deputies were at Sullivan's house earlier this week when he drove by. Deputies followed him and attempted to make a traffic stop, but they say Sullivan wouldn't leave his vehicle.

Deputies went to open the door of the vehicle and found him dead from a single gunshot wound.
