BROKEN ARROW, Okla. - Brandon Berryhill has been named the new police chief in Broken Arrow.
Berryhill has been the acting police chief since David Boggs retired in August. The City said Berryhill has been part of the police department for the past 23 years, and the past six years he has served as deputy police chief.
According to the City, Berryhill has strong leadership and management skills. The City said one of his greatest accomplishments has been the Juvenile Accountability Group, which he started in 2000. It's a program that addresses problems with juveniles skipping school, committing larceny and dealing with problems at home.
The City will be holding a press conference to make the announcement at the Public Safety Complex at 10 a.m. on Wednesday.
