A child's death has led to new swimming rules at Turner Falls Park in Oklahoma.

A 4-year-old boy nearly drowned over the weekend in the Blue Hole swimming area. Reports say emergency teams began CPR on the boy and rushed him to the hospital, where he later died.

The family said they lost track of the young boy while he was swimming.

Turner falls officials now say they plan to make life vests mandatory for any swimmers under the age of 12.
