TULSA, Okla. — Oklahoma State Troopers say a driver of a box truck fell asleep at the wheel and crashed into a bridge in Downtown Tulsa's Inner Dispersal Loop Wednesday morning.

Officials say the driver woke up but didn't have enough time to avoid the crash.

The truck drove into the bridge pillars under the ramp from Highway 75 to Interstate 244 eastbound.

The truck is totaled, but the driver is expected to be okay.

The crash didn't appear to cause any damage to the bridge, but ODOT workers will have to inspect it to be sure.
