BIXBY, Okla. — Dozens of Bixby's percussion students got a lesson in drumming from Blue Man Group.
Musicians with the show taught a masterclass to about 30 students at the band center.
"I learned that there's a lot more to drumming," said Aidan Sudler, a senior at Bixby High School. "You really have to listen. You have to know how to improvise and feel the groove, you know."
Robert Gomez, resident music director for the Blue Man Group, was also in attendance.
"Everyone of these kids has shown they are more than talented, and I hope we spread some of that energy that Blue Man always does," Gomez said.
Blue Man Group is performing tonight and tomorrow night at the Tulsa PAC.
